Subdivision Plat Records
FILING PLAT THAT IS WITHIN CITY LIMITS:

1. Each plat of Official Public Records, Road & Bridge Department and the Appraisal District, must contain original signature of Landowner or Developer, City official signing for the City and Surveyor. (Landowner/Developer and City signature must be notarized.)

2. All Plats or Replats must have attached an original Tax Certificate from each taxing unit with jurisdiction of real property indicating that no delinquent ad valorem taxes are owed on the real property. (Property Code, Chapter 12, Section 12.002 Subdivision Plat (e) A person may not file for records or have recorded in the county clerk's office a plat or replat of a subdivision of real property unless the plat or replat has attached to it an original tax certificate from each taxing unit with jurisdiction of the real property indicating that no delinquent ad valorem taxes are owed on the property. This subsection does not apply if more than one person acquired the real property from a decedent under a will or by inheritance and those persons owning an undivided interest in the property obtained approval to subdivide the property to provide each person with a divided interest and separate title to the property.)

3. Size and Quantity of Plats needed:

(1) 8 1/2 X 14 for Official Public Records REMAINS ON FILE

(1) Mylar Plat for Plat Records REMAINS ON FILE
     (no smaller than 18x12, no larger than 24x36)

(1) Mylar, Blue Line or Black Line Plat for Appraisal District
     (no smaller than 18x24, no larger than 24x36)

*Any extra plats to be returned signed and file stamped need to be provided at the time of filing and will be returned with a receipt after recording of the plat


FILING PLATS: (that go thru Commissioners' Court)

1. Each plat for Official Public Records, Commissioner's Court Minutes, Road & Bridge Department, and Appraisal District must contain original signature and be notarized.

2. All Plats or Replats must have attached an original Tax Certificate from each taxing unit with jurisdiction of real property indicating that no delinquent ad valorem taxes are owed on the real property. Size for Plat Records, Road & Bridge Department, and Appraisal District need to be no smaller than 18x24 and no larger than 24x36

FILING FEE: (Effective Sept. 1, 2005)

  •  $50.00 per plat and the filing fee for the Official Public Records,
  • $16.00 for the first page and $4.00 per addition page.

2 sheet plat $70.00
